AEGEE is Europe's biggest interdisciplinary students' organisation!
With its widespread network spanning the whole European continent and ignoring any kind of border, be it a national, ethnic or geographic one, AEGEE, as a politically and religiously independent organisation is able to really serve as a forum to all European students and make their opinion to be heard.
AEGEE is short for "Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe". The name is French because the Association was founded in Paris in 1985. Its English name is therefore "European Student's Forum".
AEGEE strives for European Integration and is active in the areas of "Peace and Stability", "Cultural Exchange", Active Citizenship" and "Higher Education".
Within its now over 20 years of existence, AEGEE accomplished many achievements in various fields of action, among which as most outstanding should be named the successful lobbying for launching the ERASMUS programme, of whose existence to date already millions of students have profited during their student careers.
